Enrich your Google text ads with creative headlines and descriptions generated with prompt templates
Introduction: In this guide, we'll explore how AI can help to enrich your Google text ads (responsive search ads) with compelling copy that resonates with your customers and drives conversions.
If you want to make the most out of your responsive search ads in your Google ads campaigns, it is time to let go of using the same old generic headlines and descriptions and take your campaigns to the next level.
Use Clickable’s prompt templates to generate unique and creative headlines and descriptions for your text ads.
Step-by-step guide
Start with creating a new workspace by clicking the [Create Workspace] button. Create a new project inside your Workspace.
Import your data through brandfetch or CSV. The data you import here will be the foundation for the text ads. Map it into your selected columns or create new ones.
Create the columns representing Google Ads headlines and descriptions, e.g. create one column named campaign, another one called ad group, another one called keywords, and then create two columns; one for generated headlines and one for generated descriptions.
A Google text ad campaign consists of three headlines where you can enter up to 30 characters each to promote your product or service. It also requires 2 description lines for each ad, a maximum of 90 characters.
Make sure you add your variables into the prompt for the headline and description if you use the built in prompt template in Clickable before running the prompts.
To have everything connected at the same place we will also add Path URL and Display URL.
The display URL, usually in green, shows your website address. This display URL is made up of the domain from your final URL and the text in the optional ”Path” fields. These fields are designed to help people who see your ad get a better sense of where they’ll be taken when they click it. Your path text doesn’t have to match the exact language of your display URL.
By using the included prompt templates, you can easily generate headlines and descriptions based on the variables you have imported or manually added. Make sure you add the desired variable to the prompt by right-clicking the column and adding it under [Edit function] e.g. /Product title, /Keyword etc.
Evaluate the generated data and if you are happy with the results. If you are not happy you can right-click on the headline or description and click on [Run function] again and you will get a fresh set of headline or description.
Click on export to export your data and add them to Google Ads.
